Attorney Rooth’s background is one steeped in service to the community and the municipality he calls home: Hamburg, NY. He has served with distinction as the lead counsel for the Town of Hamburg through two terms. Serving in this post since 2014-2017, and 2019-2020, he had been the Town Council’s lead legal professional in New York State General Municipal Law. He was appointed to be the Hamburg Town Prosecutor from 2021-2022, which meant that he handled all vehicle and traffic violations, code violations, and dog control matters in the Town.

It’s a full-time job in itself, but it’s one that he takes seriously. He aims to ensure that the community he calls home and its taxpayers are protected to the letter of the law, and that their interests are served.

An active volunteer in Hamburg and a member of St. Bernadette’s parish and the Knights of Columbus, Attorney Rooth has coached Hamburg Little Cagers basketball for 25 years and has also served as a coach with Hamburg Little League baseball. In 2014, he was the recipient of Hamburg’s Service to Youth award. He is also a Meals on Wheels volunteer, and at one time was a board member for the Hamburg Counseling Center and Board of Directors for the Beechwood/Blocher Foundation.

Attorney Rooth is also a former member of the Hamburg Volunteer Fire Company, having served as an Emergency Medical Technician.
